BRRRR! It's chilly outside. Yesterday we had snow sprinkled on the top of majestic Mt. Maxwell in Burgoyne Bay, and scattered on the Gary Oak Meadows that are now saved forever from development thanks to the incredible efforts of our Salt Spring Island Community these past 2 years. In fact, we have managed to save the entire North and South Shore of Burgoyne Bay, plus our pristine watershed on Lake Maxwell from the chain saw. When you come to Bold Bluff, you will be surrounded by almost 2,600 acres of protected lands and park. In our cove today, we have 2 seals, 3 male buffledhead ducks and 6 common mergansers. I'll write more later, but we are testing this diary to see if it works. Tamar
